Has any members tried the new Taurus 1911 or a Rock Island?

They appear to be a lot of gun for the money, with may of the features found on the more expensive 1911 pistols! Pricing is quite a bit lower than a standard Kimber model.

I have heard nothing but good about the Taurus 1911,thats all I can say but I think they too are going up in price.

My dad has a Rock Island .45 and he really likes. Shoots good and so far haven't had had a single problem with it.

I used to have a Rock Island. I never had any problems with it. Traded it up for another Beretta though.

I do not need to tell you my feelings about 1911's!

But for the others who do not know me, I own 7 Rock Islands and love them all!

I have never had a single problem with any of them and use them as my daily carry guns.

Hey Kevin, I was hoping you would show up and share your experiences with the Rock Island versions of the 1911. Nice pistols for a fair price.

Yea 3 of them currently have them.

Eventually I will have them on all of them.
