View Full Version : Saudi Arabia does it again...
http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/11/19/saudi.rape.victim/index.html?iref=newssearch
(CNN) -- A Saudi Arabian human rights attorney is asking the government to allow him to represent a woman who was gang-raped -- and then sentenced to prison for speaking out about the case.
The attorney, Abdulrahman al-Lahim, had his license revoked last week by a judge for speaking to the Saudi-controlled media about the case, al-Lahim told CNN.
The judge more than doubled the sentence against al-Lahim's 19-year-old client because she spoke to the media about the case, a court source told Arab News, an English-language Middle Eastern daily newspaper.
The woman -- who was initially sentenced in October 2006 to 90 lashes -- had her sentenced increased to 200 lashes and was ordered to serve six months in prison under Saudi Arabia's strict Islamic law.
OK, she was raped by 7 guys who also beat her and it is her fault for being outside without the permission of a male family member...
and our gooberment is backing the Saudi King and court system.

This may be a bit off topic, but that's pretty much why a female president in this country would be VERY bad. Our enemies do not like or respect women.
That entire part of the planet disgusts me.

Might be just the thing to really heat things up and remove 80% of the population from the face of the earth!
Things are WAY out of hand... we need a good purge.
and don't bother... my brother already gives me enough shit about that, saying "what if you are part of that 80%"
Well, if I'm part of that 80% I'll be dead and won't really be around to care... and if I'm not, then I'll go build me a log cabin by a mountain stream and fish.

Either way you'll get whacked. The last time people built a cabin in the woods to get away from the bullshit the government came in killing everything that moved.

But a Female Secretary of State with littler experience was a good move? Not defending Hillary but from what I see it don't much matter because the world does not respect our current male president. China, Mexico, Iran Saudi Arabia, now Pakistan and more laugh at him. They realize he shot his wad and he is shooting blanks. At this rate we don't enough Military to back his bullshit
I agree, we don't have enough military to do shit anymore...
We have them spread out everywhere doing police actions (making sure our puppet gooberments stay in place) leaving our butts here at home swinging in the breeze.
Sure we have the mightly NUKE but let's face it, that's nothing anymore... we send just one of those things fly'n and we will be toast so fast.
and sure... if we were invaded directly there are enough gun tote'n folks to pretty much take care of things but let's face it; all another country needs to do to take us over is to stop the flow of goods into the US.
It would take us 10 years to get production of goods going again back here on the home front.
