View Full Version : Kids on the internet!

This may be a sensitive topic, but I'm sick of young kids running around on the net.
Look at youtube, myspace or virtually any other site out there and it's overrun with kids.
On one site I frequent for movie makers people will post their movies. Some of them are very good with special FX, comedy, etc. Then there's the damned kids. Mom and dad lets them loose with a camcorder and they post stupid shit. Seriously stupid kid crap like talking to a tree or some shit like that.
It's frustrating because someone posts a link to a movie and asks for people to watch it. Then you spend the time downloading only to see a kid dancing around acting silly!
Don't get me wrong I think it's great kids want to be creative, but at the same time it's frustrating as hell you can't go anywhere hardly anymore without having to deal with kids running wild.
Every time I turn around there's another news story about the negative side of the internet and people who want to "clean it up". The kids might see this or hear that and I can't help but think the problem would go away on it's own if 1) idiots monitored their kids online activity 2) people would realize the net wasn't intended for young kids 3) there was at least an NC17 rating for the net as a whole.
Sorry for the rant. It just pisses me off to think assholes want to violate and rape the rights of adults so kids can run wild and destroy the internet.

I agree with you Bro. Though it isn't just the internet, it's everywhere.
I was talking to my dad the other day. And I brought up the a thought I was having about when I was a kid, we lived in a neighborhood. Everyone knew each other, knew who's kids were who, and if I did somehting wrong at a neighbors house, the neighbor would take me home and tell my mother what happened and of course I got into trouble. But the amazing thing was that my mom appreciated what the neighbor did in letting her know.
Todays society isn't about neighborhoods anymore. We have become a society of inviduals. And most parents nowadays, get pissed to high heaven if you say anything bad about their kid. But at the same time they don't have time to spend a real parent, becuase they have their own thing going on and can't be bothered. It's really sad when you think about it.

That's why I limit my net time. too many kids running around unattended to.

I agree on that as well. I was just screwing around on YouTube and other sites like that and these teenagers had the balls enough to make videos of themselves making pipebombs and grenades. Although that may be considered a skillset later on in life, I find it disturbing that these teenagers were doing it.

Yup I agree, I hate this "protect the children" attitude. They want to strip the freedoms of everyone just so children don't have to view such foul language or whatever else they can find on the net. It shouldn't even be brought up, since the parents are the ones who should be able to monitor/stop their own children from reaching certain sites...they make software for that. I agree with George Carlin on this one...Fuck the children:D, life is not meant to be made child friendly, that's the parents job.
Ya there are too many children all over the internet but nothing we can do...we just have to deal with it...but yes it's a pain in the ass.

The worst place I have run into kids on the internet is with online gaming. I am a huge gamer with XBOX Live. Games like Rainbow 6 Vegas, Gears of War, etc. Thats where one can really run into some little assholes! Not a gaming session goes by where some little "internet toughguy" jumps into a game and starts mouthing off. And they know there will be no consequences for their actions, so they just won't quit.
I hear you Riprock, with the sites with vids and stuff too. You click on a vid expecting to see one thing, and there are the stupid little jagoffs, running around being annoying. Probably the same little jagoffs I run into playing Gears of War!

Yeah I am gamer too. I play Everquest, America's Army, Diablo 2. Everquest isn't so bad since a player can't really jump in and out of games as you are restricted to a particular server to play on. America's Army usaully isn't real bad but it has it's moments. Diablo 2 is full of the little assholes, but at least there I can create solo games and play by myself and not have to be bothered by them.

Sinatra 4 words...Call of Duty 4! It's coming out in a few weeks(end of October), it has all modern weapons this time around instead of WW2 era weapons. M16's W/EOtechs...gonna be great.
I am a big Call of Duty 2 gamer and yes, I forgot to mention the little bastards you will no doubt run into online gaming.

Is this thread about JK posting so much and about his late lamented riot gear?

I used to play Rogue Spear religiously online and it was the damned kids that ran me off.
I bought an Xbox360 and tried playing a game for the first time with that and had nothing but kids acting like fools so I never tried it again.
I'm serious. I want a kid only zone on the net where they can only access sites within their zone and leave the rest of the world to the adults.

I do everything on my laptop or my desktop. There's nothing out there that can't be played on them. Besides, I won't have to upgrade a gaming station every two-five years.

LOL, gone for good to Arjuana at the BF:cool2:
And in return I got me something I use all the time...A Maglight "magcharger" rechargeable flashlight. It costs about $100 and it is not your standard mag light, and it is pretty fucking bright...approaching very fucking bright but just a tad below that:D, I like it. So that is how the story ends with the riot gear...now a new story is in the works...one Arjuana will have to tell:D

It gives all the in's and out's of the game. The best vid on there is the weapons vid. I played the COD 4 beta last month. The very first thing I noticed was the real authentic sounds of the weapons. Especially the MP5. I have fired one of those before. When I chose that weapon I could not stop saying how real it sounded. And for good reason too. What they did for the game (and show in the vid) is they connected high tech mics to real military weapons and fired, reloaded and fired them some more. Every sound from mag drops to mag insertions are completely authentic. Cool huh?
And back to the original post.....I am sure this game will bring out hords of little jagoffs as well! Funny, since my last post in this thread, I have run into more little pricks on XBOX Live within the last week than I have in the last year. Little bastards must have an eye on me in this forum! :tinfoil:
