Just being a smart ass. I've been trying to find a Trooper for a long time.

"Uh...hmm...the cylinder rotates the other way right?"

Nice play on words!!!

I'm looking at my son's Mk. III Trooper... it definitely rotates to the right... had to say it, since you asked... ;)

The Trooper is a fine Colt DA revolver, and probably a bit "undervalued" in the frenzied Colt wheelgun market. It has a reputation, like the King Cobra, of not being as desirable to the Colt purists as a Python or Diamondback... and that, sir, makes it nicely more affordable at present.

Another fine large frame revolver you might like is a Smith & Wesson Model 28 Highway Patrolman. I'm sure you are familar with these, and they too are still affordable choices in the used marketplace.

I well understand wanting a Trooper. These are full size heavy frame revolvers, pretty close to a S&W N frame in size and weight. If you run out of bullets or the increasing ammo prices have got you reluctant to pull the trigger, you can beat a bad guy senseless with the thing.

Don't put off getting that Trooper too long... the prices are starting to climb on those also. Hell, all Colt DA revolvers are increasing in price... Pythons are getting up in nose bleed territory.

Someone over at GB puts up pictures of a brace of three inch pythons that he has. They are beautiful and very valuable nowdays.

I let a six inch blued python go for a song back many years ago when I got real hard up for bucks! Thats the one revolver that I wish I still had.
