Seems my perfection has a problem:lol:

My G30 trigger bar must be out of spec,,it's getting a groove in it from the slide on return to battery and causes it not to return to full battery alot,,
I havn't shot it much..wheres the time... and had a few failures to return to battery,,I figured ok maybe a break in process,,but thats not the case.

Seems almost anybody with the 30sf is having the problem..not all having failures but the rubbing of the trigger bar and slide.

My guess is when they made the 30sf frame they may have just used the standard 30 trigger bar,,,hence 30sf(short frame /slime frame) needs it's own but I'm just guessing,,we shall see.

I can fix it which I may but want to see what Glock does.

Fix would be polishing out the trigger bar til no contact ,which a few guys did and are back to 100% reliability,,but Hopefully I just get a new trigger bar from Glock.

This is the 2nd purchase within a year that I've had a problem with ,,1st the Px4 45 which I got my money back now this which atleast I can fix.

It is more than likely just a bad "out of spec" run of trigger bars. The SF (short frame) has the exact same inner dimensions as the standard G21/G30. Only the backstrap was reduced by 3mm to allow one to get more finger on the trigger. Here's a link/pic to show the difference http://www.tucsonguns.com/Glock-0017-Glock30SF_vs_Glock30.php

There is also a a lengthy thread over at Glocktalk about this issue. Its seems the overall consensus is trigger bar replacement.

I am assuming Glock customer service is head and shoulders above Beretta. Ya I would probably try the company route first if it costs nothing.

I've posted numerous times in that thread Guinea ,,Glock hasn't said poopy yet ,,getting a little sick of my gun sitting in the safe though ,, I'll just see what happens ,,but yah most likely a bad run of trigger bars ,, but how many and will Glock make it right for us that have the Trigger Bar,,time will tell ,,hopefully sooner than later

This is my trigger bar,,you can see the groove getting cut into it and it prevents return to full battery.
I bought a Lone Wolf Recoil rod and spring 19lbs which will proabably get it to return to battery but still cut a groove,,havne't test fired since and still wouldn't be the correct fix if it still rubs the Trigger bar

Can't you just order a new trigger bar? They are not that expensive, nor difficult to install. Just a thought. Or maybe even send Glock the pic you have in this thread (if you haven't already) and see if they will send you a new trigger bar?

I just looked at the trigger bar on my 21SF and have a very, very tiny groove in the same place as on your trigger bar. Yours being even more pronounced is what I assume the slide hanging up (or being slowed down enough) to cause your malfunction. Again, picking up a new trigger bar would probably be the way to go.

Just my 2 cents.

I've replaced the trigger bar ,,just about everybody else has too...same results,, something is out of wack..
If you've read much over at that thread at glock talk it's a large number of people having this problem ,,theres guys on there 10th trigger bar seeing if they can get one that works,,guys filing them down with some success ,,I haven't filed it down yet to try.

I'm not gonna spend alot of time trying to get it to work,,I shouldn't have too,,Glock says they're perfection so they should give me perfection,,

Love my g26 and this gun,,it just needs a fix and IT SHOULD COME FROM GLOCK
