What's up party people? I posted this on another forum already but I thought that I'd ask you guys too.

I'm in the market for a compact 1911 that wont break the bank but will be reliable. I've been offered a RIA tactical compact but I don't have any experience with them. I had a full size RIA years ago and it didn't give me any problems.

This includes pictured grips, factory wood grips, pearce grips with finger groove insert and a Kimber Pro Tac Mag with 3 different basepads. Also comes with all factory items (case, manual, factory Novak Mag. Both mags are 7 rounders. Also comes with an extra recoil spring.

He said that he's the origional owner and it only has 200 rounds through it.
He wants $485 for the whole package. Should I go for it?

I've heard good things about RIA, but have never held or fired one. I did a little looking around and found that price to be ok. Wouldn't hurt to try and get it for less though, of course.

Nice looking litte heater.

I still need a magazine release and an extended safety in satin; plus I also need to get the beavers-tail installed … once I get up the courage to do some trimming on the frame.

I don't think there's very much anyone can do to ugly up any 1911. They are simply gorgeous guns.

Very cool grips you have there, Globemaster.

If you look up RIA in the blue book of gun values it says SEE SPRINGFIELD .

So take that as you will ..

personally i wouldn't trade my Rock island for anything :rockin:
