I traded my Vertec frame for a standard 96 frame, added a D spring, and popped in a 16lb recoil spring(factory weight for the 92 and the 96 is 13lb, imo the 96's should have at least a 15 lb recoil spring since it shoots the .40) to lessen the frame battering from the .40 round. This gun is pretty sweet, I am going to take it to the range Sunday and see how she shoots:beavisnbutthead:.

Just a swap, mainly because it's all I wanted(both our frames only had 150 rounds or so fired from them), plus Wal hooked me up bigtime with the JK special so I was not gonna ask for anything else. We did the swap at a hardware store that sells guns also:pint:, a little further north is a tad "deliverance like".

The Vertec frame makes the trigger "break" too far back for my liking, I prefer the feeling of the standard frame when firing, but I still love the way the Vertec feels grip wise.

ok...i love my vertec but i can't shoot with it...i try a d spring...a skeleton hammer, different grips, different way to shoot it but i just can't hit the target with it...and i know is not the gun because when somebody else uses it they hit the center every time...

I can fix it, just send it to me and ill research the problem.:wavey:

if its a grip issue, put a hogue slip on on it, that will make it bigger.

maybe what you need is a M9A1 frame, best of all worlds.
