that you started over on the BF... the one that got locked down by a mod owing to some folks mixing "bears and politics"... well... I gotta comment on that, and I shall do it here since it's impossible to do it over there on the other forum.
Who really :wgaf: if 50% or 60% of the world's number of polar bears die off?
Only a tree hugger would illogically make an assumption that these are cuddly and cute creatures.
Those dimwits ought to be reminded that a polar bear in the wild will typically attack and eat a human on sight!!!
We are literally no more than a meal for those huge carnivores.
Anyone who doubts that is welcome to try and pet one and see for themselves!!!
Drilling rigs working up on the North Slope will typically have one or more guys employed as "Bear Watchers"... and by the way, they're armed with high powered rifles. The bears will amble into a camp next to a rig and "hide" by burrowing just under a blanket of snow... almost impossible to see until it's too late if you happen by one. Men have simply "disappeared" in this "white out" work environment... becoming a polar bear's lunch.
