A mod. over at the Beretta Forum sent me a pm saying he received a few complaints from members about the 1 pm I sent them about this forum. Frankly I don't want whinny bitches here. If you can't handle 1 single pm about a new forum, that a fellow forum member started(David) I don't even want to be a part of the same forum you are. Grow the hell up and stop complaining to mods like their your parents. I sent certain members 1 single pm...whinny bitches:mad:

I was waiting to see how long it took before one of the asses on BF (yes there are some) complained. Yet some of the guys over there have done the same. Age even PMed guys about his AR15 forum and there was the Beretta tavern that some there joined and PMed about. No complaints at all from me about Age he is a good and fair mod and a great guy to deal with.
That said plese keep me out of any pissing matches about this. I was in one before over the same thing on BF with the defunct Phreephilly.com forum

Generally, posting a message advertising your site is acceptable, although I always ask the admin first. However, sending unsolicted PMs that way can be looked upon as spam. And yea, that will upset some people.

I always see people refer to glocktalk or another site publicly but if I pm some people they have to get their panties in a bunch:rolleyes: Age is a great mod, best one over there.

Actually, if anyone is to blame it's probably me. I suggested a PM over a message post because the message would have likely been edited or "moved" or locked even...

No David the only blame is on those that are too uptight and rigid to see that there are many choices and ways out there and a forum is just a place to learn and chat not a holy grail

Thanks! That's the way I see it too, which is why I wanted to do this site.
I want people to have fun and I don't think most people can really do that if they feel they have to walk on egg shells and can't be themselves.

That too, I don't consider myself either one I think I'm pretty central. But it is like they "know" all gun owners are conservative religious types, so it seems to be ok for them to talk about that:rolleyes:

Nice to see that others tire of the hypocracy. It used to be worse politics were allowed but you had raving lunatic right wingers that acted sociopathic and psychotic. I always wondered how some can say this is not meant to be political or anti liberal when if you can read you kinew it was. I prefer honest and open disagreement to hypocracy

jk,
A wise man once said:
Liberals got women the right to vote. Liberals got African-Americans the right to vote. Liberals created Social Security and lifted millions of elderly people out of poverty. Liberals ended segregation. Liberals passed the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act. Liberals created Medicare. Liberals passed the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act. What did Conservatives do? They opposed them on every one of those things, every one. So when you try to hurl that label at my feet, 'Liberal,' as if it were something to be ashamed of, something dirty, something to run away from, it won't work, Senator, because I will pick up that label and I will wear it as a badge of honor.
pretty much sums up my feelings about being called a "liberal", as if it were a bad thing.

hey KS, are you a "liberal"?
if so then be a proud liberal, never be ashamed of who and or what you are, it's what makes us all Unique bro!:)
then again if you put the word flamming in front of it ......then we got a problem!!!:p:p

I just hate the whole gang warfare between liberals/conservatives and Democrats/Republicans. I don't want to be a part of any of it because it sucks most people into defending what "their" party believes. I just rather have everyone united with different opinions(That's what I call America) than everyone divided with different opinions.
I took this test one time I will see if I can find it again that asks like 90 questions and plots out where you stand on a x-y axis chart. At the very top it said Authoritative and at the bottom it said Liberal I think. Then I think the left/right axis was well left and right:p At least I think. I will find it...hopefully. I was just a hair left and a hair south...I guess it was pretty accurate everyone else thought it was I will look for it.

That's the key. Anytime you put extremist/fundametalist/etc... that's when problems are really created, and then people from the otherside associate all the negatives from the "ists" to the "normal" people on the otherside.
If people could realize this is what they do, we would be able to have real debates and find solutions to problems, instead of name-calling arguments.
p.s. I am a liberal, although I took the "compass" test, and I am inbetween liberal and moderate. The 2nd amendment changed some of my liberalism ;)

You know what I am?
I'm an American. I'm not liberal and I'm not conservative. I'm not Republican and I'm not Democrat. I am simply an American. I see things on both sides I can agree with and see nothing on either side I can agree 100% with.
Some people really piss me off with politics. I asked a guy before the 2000 elections why he was voting for Bush. Basically I wanted to hear the issues he supported. Not too surprisingly he had no clue of the issues. His sole reason for voting for Bush was his dad is a Republican, his grandfather is and so on...
On one of my other forums this came up and one guy said he was voting for Hilary...Scary, I know... But when asked why, his reason was, "because other countries have had female presidents so why not get hip and elect one too?" WOW!
Another friend of mine said he likes Edwards... Because he has a warm smile...
It's just scary knowing this kind of person actually votes!

Yes, that's scary... these folks are voting and just for those reasons you gave.
Do you think they'll be wondering someday just why our government is in such a mess?
Worse is to consider that some of these folks are reproducing and some are able to buy firearms!!! Sorry... couldn't resist that one... :p

Just remember...
Somewhere in the world, particularly on a forum (like here, BF, but probably the govt. .45 one), somebody desperately needs to sit down and chew on a big ol' turd because they are so busy worrying about someone else's politics and how they can influence them.
I had an opinion like that once. It's called being a teenager! Once I figured out how to fix it, I did. I flushed!!! Then again, I did flush all of my teen years and a good half of my 20's along with it.:pint:

First off, to the topic of the thread, I wish to thank both Wayne and Jason for sending me PM's about this forum on the BF. It wasn't me that complained. I am not a complainer, I am much more of a solutions guy. If I had a problem with a PM or other behavior I would bring it up with the individual, not run to mommy.
As for politics, I am with David. I am not affiliated with any political party, nor will I ever be. I believe that the parties are a tremendous problem in our system. That has been my political belief for a long time. As for labels such as liberal, conservative, etc., a lot of people are comfortable if they can place individuals in specific categories or neat little boxes. I used to be that way, especially when in college. But as I have aged, and experienced some of life's harsh realities, I really don't care what club people want to join or want to associate with. What makes this country great is the INDIVIDUAL. While I have a pet peeve about people who vote straight party tickets (they should be escorted from the voting booth and summarily shot), every person gets a vote. It matters not why they choose to vote for someone, but that they have the opportunity to cast their ballot for the guy with the expensive haircut, or the guy who was in the same branch of service as them, or the woman who wears the same kind of shoes as they do. That is our system, and for the most part it works.
Just don't try to take my gun rights away or I will jump into one of those neat little boxes they used to refer to as pill boxes:D

Ya, about the political thing, the party wars are for the sheep. It keeps them busy I guess arguing and trying to make the other "side" look bad. That's why I hate politics the way it is now, and the candidates go along with it, why is someone not saying what we are saying? United with different opinions rather than divided with different opinions would be my campaign motto:Peace!:

I would have appreciated the invite, or would have been one of the members that received a PM. But anyways, good people, good forum and great guns!
The gun forums are like music, Beretta is classical with a suite, TexasCHL is country with boots, this is Rock and Roll with leather!

LOL, we are always pleased to have our Beretta brothers here. Plus I thought that thread was funny, I just dident want people like Abumpa chiming in with half wit comments:love4::happy:. I sent invites to about 70 people, I know I missed a lot like you and others but there was no way I could have gotten them all in 1 day. After that 1st day a mod told me to stop sending people the 1 single pm I sent them since they got complaints(supposably :love4:) or I would have continued and would have sent ya an invite, but after I was told not too I just figured I'd put it in my signature and be passive about it.
