Palin wanted Alaska to secede?

I've been reading rumors on blogs that Palin was a member to a group in Alaska that wanted to Secede from the U.S. Does anyone have any factual evidence on this?

With all the finger pointing that Obama is "un-American", I can't think of much more "Un-Americaness" (Yes I just made that word up, deal with it ;) ), than wanting to secede your state from the U.S.

A friend of mine, that is on the fence with the election, messaged me the other day freaking out that Palin banned Harry Potter in the libraries in Alaska... Which of course is not true.

Why is it that all of a sudden people think that factcheck.org is the ultimate authority on subjects. What kind of power, and trust, are we giving those people?!?!?
At this point people are so convinced that everything that factcheck.org says is factual, that they can start feeding us any amount of shit and people will believe it "cause factcheck.org says it's true!" Come on..........

Ha ha ha...... Not the same thing Sweetcheeks. You're a pretty educated young man and should be able to see that.

Factcheck.org is not one person (or one and a husband) deciding the "facts". Rather it's a group of well respected university professors, journalists and academia from both sides of the political spectrum sorting out the political fact from fiction. They have stood up for democrats too, you know.

Try browsing the site a little, you may learn something! ;)
