I should have taken an updated "family" pic. I actually no longer have the 90-2.

I wasn't thrilled with it really. I think Beretta went and fucked with perfection. The original 92 series is just plain sweet, IMO.

Some upgrades could have been cool for the series, but the poly grips just irked me and I'm not an accessory rail fan... That rail cover they made for it makes it look better I think, but I know there's folks that disagree completely with that.

I won one last July in 2006. I don't like the grips either - the front strap is slippery. I like the original 92s better. I ended up selling it and used the cash to pay for about 1/2 of my PS90.

Shipwreck, you are the second winner of a 90-2 that I know didn't like it and either sold or is selling theirs. I shot one at Beretta day last year and was not impressed. I like my 92FS

Well, It paid for 1/2 of my PS90 by winning it, so I cannot complain :o

The past few times I went to my lgs, I field stripped one and held it compared to the regular 92, and a vertec if they have it. I came to the conclusion that the Vertec frame is just sweet, it's my favorite grip style since I love the grip of the 1911 so much. But I think the 90-two really needed another function upgrade for it to be more popular, you know...improved locking block, titanium firing pin:naaa:...something other than the recoil buffer...one more functional upgrade and it would have been a hit I think.

I had one too and sold it...well actually traded it towards my AR. I have two other 92 series and the dash really did not agree with me. No matter what I did, it shot, or I shot very low with it. Even resting on a bag on a bench, the POI was 5 - 6 inches low. I know I am not a great shot with a handgun yet, but something was up. If anyone wants to try my old one, I think On Target Gun Shop in Frackville, PA still has it for sale for $500. I can certify that no more than 200 rounds were fired through it. I would stick with the classic 92 in my opinion.

I'm disappointed reading the comments.........but very glad I did. The first time a put my hands on a 90-two a couple years ago, they just came out, it felt so good in my hand. I was shooting a Taurus PT92 and in comparison the Beretta felt like a million bucks. It was smooth as could be from racking the slide, balance, grip fit my hand perfectly. I never shot one. They were scarce since they just hit the market. I have been waiting for the opportunity to pick one up......now I'm not so sure.

I like the looks of the Px4 but don't think I would spend the money after reading the reviews on it. Maybe the 90-two falls in the same category. Anyone have good luck with the 90-two ? Welcome any comments. Something said for doing a "test drive" before buying.

I 'm curious to see how long the 90-2 sticks around before Beretta pulls the plug on it,,I'm guessing sales are bleak to be nice about, like almost non-existent.

Coach if you like the grip of the 90- ,,maybe try and find a Beretta Vertec on gunbroker,it's where they got the design for the 90-
