Got ANOTHER new gun within a week of buying my MC Operator...
This one was free, though... Thanks to FN, and Therm (the guy I run the FN Forum with) for forwarding it to me
I won't get a chance to shoot it until Mid July - but the trigger on it seems nice so far.

FN makes over 1/2 of the M4s used by the guys in Iraq (they have a license from Colt). They also make Hi Powers (they own Browning), and have been doing so for years. They make tons of other weapons that our military and the militaries of other countries have been buying for a while.
Except for the Hi Power's with the FN label, FN is somewhat new to the civilian market here in the USA. So, that's why many people are not familiar with them.

Yea - I shot it. Here is my review:
http://fnforum.net/viewtopic.php?t=8748
I like the gun a lot. It shot 100% from the get go - and the "issues" I mentioned in my review went away after a gunbgreakin.
I now carry the gun as my CCW. Obviously it is too big for a pocket gun. But, unless I have to carry my P99c in my cargo pants pocket, I carry it in my Galco Fletch.

Hey thanks for the field report. I am a big fan of FN products. Glad to hear they are keeping up their tradition.

Really? They are priced right around $525 in all the local shops here. Sigs and HK's start at $700. When I was looking for a new 9mm, I considered the FNP-9, but bought a Beretta 90-TWO instead. What a mistake that turned out to be. Long story short, I have a thread about the 90-Two over in the BF. Needless to say, I can't/won't recommend the 90-Two.
