Was shipped in 1911.

Thats a beauty! I love all the old lever rifles. Winchester or Marlin and others.

At some point I want to pick up an nice 38-55 which is a nice woods rifle for the Oregon Coastal Range or other heavly wooded area. Heck most of the deer taken in this area are still taken with lever 30-30, 35's and other variations of the lever rifle.

That is sweet! I've always wanted one of those. Closest I ever came to one was a BB rifle when I was a kid. :lol:

Well I may get this old guy out for some hunting this year,,it's been awhile and I'd like to stuff my freezer with some deer meat,,,it's bored out to a 44 mag,,,,but my gun guy said he wouldn't use more than 44 special in it now,,,,so any hunters know if 44 special is enough instead of the magnum round,,,I would think so
