Just got back from the range with my Spingfield "Loaded" 1911 I had to send back for repairs.

Maybe the title of the thread gives it away, but the only problem it had out of 269 rounds fired today is one time it failed to fully return to battery. A little tap and I was back in business. Smooth sailing the rest of the way and I was aiming to give it hell too...

Other than a tired and sore hand I suppose I'm a happy camper with it now.

I had a Kimber I wasn't happy with (and maybe I just needed to run more rounds through it before giving up on it) so I switched to a SA Operator (1911) and I was amazed at the accuracy and reliability. I ended up buying a second one. I only have between 600 & 800 rounds through each and I can't recall a single failure/issue. Not sure if it is the sad part to my story or not but they are tucked away for a rainy day now with another pair of fine performers (92G-SD's)

Great news on the Springer...

The two Springer Operators are gorgeous...I love the green frames.

Nothing more frustrating - and dangerous - than a gun that doesn't work properly! My first CZ had a faulty extractor and I would have at least 3 extraction failures out of every magazine of 10. That was totally unacceptable!!! Fortunately the gun store where I bought it was happy to replace it with a new one. Never had a failure since in about 1500 rounds!

Thanks. :) I now feel comfortable using this as my carry piece. I do believe I have completely retired my Berettas. :D
