Michigan made the cover!
Six years of lower gun crime rates after huge increase in CCW holders.
This is the stuff we can use against the naysayers predicting wild west shootouts with increase of law abiding citizens carrying.
The same positive results were posted by Florida years before. We Georgians listened with disbelief as all the transplanted liberals cried foul when CCW's were made easier to get.
The reason: when I turned 21 living in deep south GA, the year was 1964, everybody I knew has a "Gun Toters License" as they were then called. They weren't easy to stow in a wallet, they were certificate size, also gun specific. The make and serial number was on the license. Multiple handguns meant multiple licenses.
Back in thoe days it was common for farmers and ranchers to wear their sidearms western style: you still don't need a permit to carry openly in GA!
Today in GA, 99% of gun infractions are due to unlicensed carriers. And the 1% due to CCW holders is mostly due to technical reasons, not misuse of the handgun. In GA a politician would never gain office proposing elimination of CCW's.
Kudo's to all of us who are responsible handgun owners.:bows::bows:
