I'm leaning towards the Tactical or the Raptor though. I like the Ambi saftey. I could always just add an ambi to the Eclipse though. I hate these decisions when I can only buy one at a time! :lol:

I like the raptor better, my fav 1911, is the Grand Raptor 2(the 2 tone raptor), I just dig the different grip serrations and the slide markings.

That is another one I was looking at last night. Definitely nice. Any problems with it?

For the price though it kind of bugs me that only one mag comes with the gun...

Check out the STI Spartan...they can be had for under $700 and they're nice shooters.

One or two FTF in the first couple of hundred rounds, but nothing that I would consider a problem. As with all tight tolerance 1911's you have to break them in a little bit. I picked up 4 more Chip McCormick 8 rounders and they have run flawlessly. Of course the Wilson Combat one's are the best, but I have had no problem with the ones I have.

I have a Wilson mag. Haven't tried the CM's yet. I've heard both are the best you can get.

Kimber has a new one called the SIS that looks nice too. But I would choose the Kimber Grand Rapitor Target if it was me. I have held them in the Sportsmans Warehouse and came close to closing a deal. But I have three Kimbers already and know the wife would object to another one in the stable.

I sold the butt ugly Glock with a ton of extras to help finance the Kimber. It's my new daily carry.
