I personally don't care now, it's a sub compact it's meant for carry, it should have been released this past spring/summer. I carry my full size px4 all year long. I have no need at all to get one until next May or June, plus I feel better with 17+1 of .40 instead of 13+1 of 9mm, I just like the .40 better I guess, when your life depends on it...I'll take every ounce of effectiveness. I will pick up the sc next spring no doubt about it, but I don't care when it's released as long as it's by next May. But as it stands now it won't be released until at the very least January:vomit1:

Should have finishing quoting that sentence:moon:. Point is, I don't care if it comes out this month or January, I will not buy one until next spring. Why would they release a ccw carry gun meant for summer in January? In winter you can carry a large pistol with ease. Summer is where those small sub compacts come into play at least in my mind.

I will pass on the .45 due to ammo costs unless they go down, .40 is expensive enough. I will however be all over the sub compact, I am having a tough time deciding on the 9mm version(which will be out first), or a .40. Since I already have the .40 full size, the sub can use the full size mags, however having a 9mm would be nice too...I will probably go with the 9mm I guess...dam, sorry for the whole thinking out loud bit:D

Im starting to wonder if they didnt have issues with it like they did/do with the .45
Im thinking that its not reliable, or they have had some KB or something like that.
I want one as bad as anyone else, but im still not going to "jump on it"

I doubt it problems,It's typical Beretta to drag things out and what problems with the 45?
If your talking about the article in the 1911 loving magazine don't believe everything you read.

Well the Beretta website say's sub available Jan 2008 so we shall see:popcorn:
Beretta needs to learn not to introduce a product so early,,it is a stupid marketing ploy that just pisses people off

I am gonna skip the keltec(they feel cheap to me) and just grab the px4 sc for carry at work:popcorn:, it might be a little larger...but I am not a fan of super small guns:whiteflag:

Even tho I own two .40 S&Ws already I will wait for the PX4 SC in .40 cal. I look at this as staying within a caliber is cheaper and easier to keep ammo around. If I were to get the PX4 in 9mm I would be adding another caliber to purchase and stock. Does this make sense?

Just odd that Beretta got it out now, maybe the sub really is around the corner,MAYBE .We're talking Beretta here, love the product but they're #1 at fucking up release dates by far.

I think I'm going to just get the Sub for now in 9mm and wait on the 45,I don't think I want 3 Px4's,,there's to many other guns out there of equal or better quality that I want.

Ok, it appears that a Beretta forum member got his hands on one in Texas today, we are still waiting for the pictures...but numerous people called the shop and they said they had 1 left in 9mm, so it would appear this actually might be true. But I will need pics with a current newspaper or magazine to fully beleive them. Next spring I will get one, summer is already here, I will deal with carrying my full size PX4 and Elite1A this summer.

My guess is that it's a great "smaller" gun, but it is a little thick(same as PX4). I guess I gotta see one in person to see if it's considerably smaller.

I guess I don't see the big deal in these sub compacts when the the only difference is a 3" barrel. Eveything else is going to be pretty much the same.
That's the way it is with XDsc. That shorter barrel doesn't really make it much easier to conceal and it is still a bit on the bulky side. That's another reason I like 1911's so well. The full sized guns are thin and pretty easily tucked away.
