I have a few taurus handguns right now. One is in the shop(pt-22) for waranty work because it kept failing to chamber a round. the other is a tracker in 22lr with a 6.5 inch barrel...really like to plink with the tracker, and the sa trigger pull is awesome...no creep and very light.

I've fired a taurus, the 92 copy... it's actually the only handgun I've fired. Of course, it was my first time shootin', so I couldn't say how much I liked it. It seemed kinda... cumbersome.
But I really like the .357 Trackers.

I had an older PT 908 single stack 9mm that I bought for 200 bucks. Great shooter and good CCW size. My GF Audrey, adopted it as her range 9mm until she got her hands on my Sig P225 P6 9mm. I sold it to guy on XDTALK.COM for his 13 yo daughter to upgrade to from her .22 and they love it.

I had a couple of Taurus pistols before. A long while back I had an older PT-101 in 40 S&W. Decent pistol with so-so accuracy.
Then more recently I had a model 85 Airlite snubby revolver in .38 Special. That was a cool little peice, but my brother in law wanted something small and simple for his wife to have while he worked nights. So I gave it to them about a month ago.
The 24/7 line of semi-autos are nice, especially for the price. I fired the full size 9mm at the range. The grips are really comfortable. Taurus uses the similar "ribber" rubber grips that they use on their Tracker line of revolvers.

I'm considering the 1911 when they release the stainless version,I think that would be a good starter 1911 considering it comes with alot of bells and whistles stock for a good price.

I read about it in gun tests magazine awhile back, IIRC the mags that came with it were junk and caused it to jam...they fixed it by switching to high quality mags. I will look for that issue if ya want and give you some more details.
