Need help setting up a Gold Dot VS. Federal HST performance test...

Anyone from SE PA, please tell me where I can perform a expansion/penetration test with these 2 loads. All the ranges I know of are indoor. Wayne maybe this would be an excuse to come see you and go shooting(but you would have to make the ballistic gelatin of course:naaa:). I am looking for a outdoor range in SE PA that would let me perform this test. I would like to test through bare gelatin, denim covered gelatin, and wet phone books @5 yards. I will be using 155 grain Speer gold dots and 165 grain Federal HST. Any tips and ranges that you know of fellas?

you could probably do the test on state land as long as you take all the trash with you when you leave.

balistics gel is expensive and wet phone books arent a very good medium to test bullets in...I would think that bags of water would be beter than that.

I was reading online how to make your own homemade ballistic gelatin...I was thinking of doing that but maybe your right...maybe water is good enough...

I gotta tell you guys, the HST looks like a awesome round next to the gold dot(bought a crap load of both). The HST you can tel lwas made to expand, there looks like there is 2 different expansion stages...can't wait to do this test...it will happen, but I'm not sure when.

is it the recipe where you use a shit-load og unflavored gelatin?

I looked into making it once and after i did the numbers it turned out cheaper to shoot beef rump roasts than make the gelatin. Got a link to the directions, maybe its a different/cheaper recipe than i looked at?
