Looks like this is going to be our next .45 - don't know anything about Sigs.
Anyone have this particular Sig? Any comments about it?
How 'bout you Lee?

Love the looks, HATE the fat grips, the standard 220(I held it today) is so much better for my hands, those equinox grips are way too fat for my hairy mamallian hands:p

The 220 is a great sidearm.
Hell anything Sig is a fine sidearm.
While not having the Equinox I had a full size 220R ST with Sig wood grips and it fit my hand well and shot even better.
You won't be disappointed.

I have to agree with some of what JK and Matt both say. I have shot the
P229 .40 Equinox and did find that while a beautiful gun the Equinox grips were fat and did not feel as good in my hands as the regular grips. I have owned the P220 fullsize and the P220R Carry. Both great guns but I shoot the Carry version better so sold the fullsize and got me an HK USP 9 and use the P220 Carry for my CCW. In also love all the look of the SAS version of the P series

One can do even better, price wise, and buy what is called "a poor mans Equinox", having a little less bling on the slide, but it, too, comes with those fake, fat, wood-look grips that suck IMO with the fake plastic wood-look and color wise, and the huge width. MaGilla Gorilla must have "approved those grips.."
Lose those grips, put on either factory plastic grips or Hogue side panel grips, and you'd have a ~ Winner ~ IMO, in any caliber of one's choice.
